A Study on the Performance Level of the Guidelines for the Prevention of Nosocomial Infection


Abstract
Nosocomial infection of several problems in Hospital Enlargement is severity. Patient is invalid and come along at hospital where limited space with other patients. Therefore transmission of micro organism facilitate.
The role of the Nurse is very important to prevent nosocomial infection through endless effort.
The purpose of this study is to provide the basic materials for improving educational program. This study has been attempted on the performance level of the guidelines for the prevention of nosocomial infection.
Inquiries are made on six categories "hand washing", "management of clothes", "sterilization and handling of medical supplies", "handling of contaminated equipments", "administration of medication", and "house cleaning and environment control".
The Nurses placed the first priority the "administration of medication" is six categories and the first priority to "Washing hands in running water" is total questions. And they placed the lowest categories the "management of clothes" and the lowest questions to "Don¢¥t touch the pile in hand". The greater nurses experience , the better the performance level.
Theses the lowest category and questions required reeducation and publicity.
Nurses should recognize importance of nosocomial infection to prevent for patient from nosocimial infection.
